About the Author
John R. Donahue, SJ, received his PhD in New Testament from the University of Chicago, and is the Raymond E. Brown Distinguished Professor of New Testament Studies (emeritus) at St. Mary s Seminary and University, Baltimore, MD. He previously taught New Testament at the Vanderbilt Divinity School, at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, and at Loyola University Maryland.

Have a fresh highlighter on hand for this fine book

This well-written book by a very knowledgeable, intelligent and charismatic teacher places "love your neighbor" in the context of our biblical heritage. For a book that makes you think as much as this one does it is easy to read and come back to. My only problem with it is that I used an entire highlighter while going through it. Thanks Fr, Donahue.
